We just submitted our application to YC Spring 26 batch

This weekend was a big day for suss. We submitted our application to the best startup accelerator in the world. We’ve been following Y Combinator for years, and it feels surreal to be applying with our own company. This experience is different because it’s a company my sister and I started because we’d both been scammed online and felt it was such a blow. It sparked something inside us because it’s such a big problem, yet no one was addressing it at the source where it happens most frequently - inside social media DMs, facebook marketplace listings, job boards, dating apps - basically everywhere people interact online. We started suss. because we want to build a safer experience for people online & submitting our application for suss. to YC marks the beginning of our commitment to focusing on fulfilling that mission.
